MArRC in music with Rotary Club Reggio Calabria North, on Sunday, December 16th. For the ceremony of the 40th anniversary of the association, at 6.30 pm, in Place Paolo Orsi, on the magical Christmas background with the festively decorated tree and the Riace Bronzes guests of the house, the Concert of the Rotary Youth Chamber Orchestra will be held.
The orchestra, directed by Bernardo Maria Sannino and with Stefano Duca on flute, that is composed of young musicians between 18 and 30 years old, will perform for the first time in Reggio Calabria on this occasion with music by Pergolesi, Vivaldi and Strauss.
The chamber music ensemble made its debut at the “From Barocco to Jazz” festival and played, among other things, at the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, the Diocesan Museum and the San Carlo Theater in the same capital of the Campania region.
“Celebrating forty years at the MArRC has a very strong symbolic and cultural value”, Alessandra Testa, the Rotary Club of Reggio Calabria North – District 2100, says. “It is an opportunity for a comparison on the sign that the Club has left in the city and to find oneself among those who started this journey and who today carry it forward”.
“The associations are a vital cell of the city community and play an important role in supporting the protection and transmission of the cultural heritage of the territory as an essential common good”, director Carmelo Malacrino says.
