On the occasion of the National Awareness Day on energy saving and eco-sustainable lifestyles “I enlighten myself less”, on Friday, March 1st, the MArRC participates in the initiative of the Italian Red Cross Committee, which includes an urban trekking in the historic center with stops at the main points of interest, by the young people of IRC.
Appointment at the Museum at 5.45 pm, in the suggestive space of Place Paolo Orsi for the greetings of the director Carmelo Malacrino to the participants. The route will start from here and will end in the Cathedral. The program includes a final flash mob and a minute of “energy silence”.
The councilor representing young Italian Red Cross members of the Reggio Calabria Committee, Marius Christian Serghei, presents the project: “Our city has started a process of change, in an attempt to evolve. The enhancement of the history of Reggio Calabria and its artistic and cultural wealth lights a light of hope on the future that we children have the responsibility of building, in a city and a region that have so many hidden treasures”.
The director Malacrino comments with satisfaction: “We are happy that young people feel the need to start from the Museum to discover the common past instead to face the challenges of the future”.
