ON THE TRACKS OF ULYSSES, WITH THE COLORS AND FLAVORS OF COSTA VIOLA GOURMET

A very “succulent” event awaits guests of the Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria, tomorrow, Saturday, September 1, on the beautiful terrace on the Strait, starting by 8 pm, in collaboration with Costa Viola Gourmet. Another wonderful Summer Night at the Museum is announced with the Colloquium with tasting by great chefs, with the title “Colors and flavors of the Costa Viola on the trail of Ulysses”.

The director of MArRC Carmelo Malacrino will speak together with: the historians Daniele Castrizio, professor at the University of Messina and member of the Scientific Committee of the Museum, and Pasquale Amato, professor at the University for Foreigners “Dante Alighieri” of Reggio Calabria and Head of the History Section of the International Center for Writers of Calabria, partner of the MArRC for valorisation; the writer and historical researcher Natale Zappalà and the writer and food technologist Angelo Paolillo. The journalist Filippo Teramo moderates.

The Symposium provides convivial enogastronomic entertainment by master Chefs, who will offer a tasting menu of typical “themed” dishes inspired by the Homeric poems and the food tradition in Magna Graecia, for a journey of the senses to the rediscovery of ancient flavors and knowledge.

The dishes will be accompanied by the presentation of their historical recipes and linguistic curiosities, seasoned with the charm of ancient history and mythology. Costa Viola Gourmet proposes, in fact, for the communication the hashtag #eatdifferent, to indicate the new cultural-sensorial path to nourish mind and body together, in a travel experience in the territory of the Costa Viola without limits of time and space, with the look between Scylla and Charybdis.

The event is part of the calendar for the celebrations of the Italian Food Year established by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and Tourism and in the planning of the European Year of Cultural Heritage declared by European Parliament with the Council of the European Union.
