Pirandello and the Cinema. Conference of the philologist Paola Radici Colace
The afternoon appointments together with the International Center for Writers of Calabria in the Conference Room of the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria take again place on Friday, September 14th, at 5.30 pm. Paola Radici Colace, professor of Classical Philology at the University of Messina, will give a talk on the theme: “Pirandello e il cinema”.
“Pirandello intuits in the strictly silent cinema, unprecedented possibility of translating his own theoretical model, perhaps more effectively than through other forms of expression: the dynamism of thought, the multiplication of points of view, the relativism of manifest reality, the problematic nature of the relationship between subject and object and between being and appearing”, Radici Colace says.
Speakers for the Greetings: the director of MArRC, Carmelo Malacrino, and the president of CIS, Rosita Loreley Borruto.
