Restoration workshop

Restoration workshop

A large space suitably equipped for working on artefacts, essential for the conservation of the collections, is located in the basement of the Museum. Its location is functional due to its proximity to the storerooms and the entrance to the facility to allow easy transport of archaeological materials, even the ones with more volume, most cumbersome and delicate ones. The equipment and expertise of the specialised team make it possible to carry out initial work, consolidation, cleaning, reconstruction and integration, on all types of materials, be they metal, ceramic, stone or glass, in order to restore the finds to their best conservation condition. Restoration actions, linked to the safeguarding, protection and conservation of objects, are preparatory to any form of valorisation.
