An ample space properly equipped for the essentials of the restoration of the collections is located in the basement level of the Museum. This location is functional because of the proximity with the deposits and with the entrance to the building, that allow easy transport even of the most voluminous, bulky and delicate archaeological materials.
The equipment and expertise of the specialized team make it possible to carry out first interventions, consolidations, cleaning, reconstructions and additions, on all types of materials, be they metallic, ceramic, stone or glass, to return the finds to the best conditions of conservation. Restoration, rather than the protection and conservation of objects, is necessary for any enhancement.
