A “great event” is being prepared at the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria, on Sunday, September 8th: the White Night at the MarRC with Paolo Orsi.
The promotional initiative of the extraordinary evening opening (from 8.00 pm to 11.00 pm) at the symbolic cost of 1 euro has been established to encourage participation on the last day at the “Paolo Orsi. The origins of archeology between Calabria and Sicily” Exposition, curated by the director Carmelo Malacrino with Maria Musumeci, former director of the Regional Archaeological Museum “Paolo Orsi “of Syracuse, on a project co-financed by the Calabria Region.
The “White Night at the MArRC with Paolo Orsi” is a special occasion for an extraordinary journey to discover the marvelous treasures of the Calabrian and Sicilian cultural heritage and their common past in the footsteps of the illustrious archaeologist, who has been defined as “the discoverer of the great Greece”.
At level E of the Museum, visitors of the exhibition dedicated to Paolo Orsi are being guided through an extraordinary experience of the sources of Mediterranean cultures and the discovery of testimonies found in the research and excavation activities of the scholar who is considered among the founders of modern archaeology and of the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria itself.
At the ticket office, it is possible to collect the audio support guides for the visit in four languages (Italian, English, French, Spanish) for free, for a complete and engaging knowledge and emotional experience.
